In reply to your Letter of the 8th Inst. I have it in command to represent to you, for the information of Earl Grey, that the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury have not seen fit to dissent from the sanction which his Lordship proposes to signify in respect of the Expenditure for Passages from Hong Kong to England of certain Men, and their Families, lately serving in the Police Force of the Colony, reported in the Governor's Despatch of the 10th January last.
